The Crayon Box that Talked
In 1st grade, our first lesson of the year is about being unique. We read the story The Crayon Box that Talked. The story tells about a crayon box that doesnt get along. The crayons are bought by a little girl who colors a beautiful picture using all the crayons. The crayons begin to appreciate each other for their different abilities. After the story we talk about how each person in the class is a crayon in our class(box). Our activity then is to color a crayon and draw something that makes us unique. Each crayon will be put in the class crayon box and displayed for everyone to see!!!
